I was born in 1968 in Sharon PA. I lived in Virginia Beach VA for a while when I was a baby while my dad was in the Navy (keeping the Med safe from Communism, as I like to say) but mostly grew up in Sharon where I attended St. Joseph's Elementary School. The summer between 5th and 6th grade we moved to Virginia Beach again, where I would live until college. I graduated from Kempsville High School in 1986 and went off to Penn State in the fall. I graduated from there in 1989 with a BA in Political Science and moved on to Washington DC to pursue my goal of a career in politics. Didn't end up happening that way, however. I took a job with a temp agency to make money while I looked for a full time job and was assigned early on to a company called LCC. LCC is an engineering consulting company specializing in wireless. They were in an expansion mode and offered me a job as a Technical Assistant (basically an admin who could use software) and I took it with the intent of working a year to gain industry experience and then moving on to a wireless trade association to use my degree and the new found practical experience. In reality, I stayed there moving from Technical Assistant to Training Adminsitrator to Sales Coordinator to Account Manager to Manager of Americas Sales and Support. I finally "left" when my division of LCC was sold to Ericsson in 1999. I'm still here at Ericsson as a Sales Manager for the TEMS products--same job, different business card--and I just passed my 14 year anniversary.
I married my lovely wife Brenda in 1991. Brenda is my childhood sweetheart and was complete love at first sight. She chooses to deny the story but the first thing I thought when I first saw her at the Jefferson County Fair back in the summer between 8th and 9th grades was "I could marry that girl" but it's 100% true. We honeymooned at Walt Disney World, kicking off a practice of going there that is up to at least a dozen since then. Happiest Place on Earth? Certainly our Favorite Place on Earth. We have a 6 year daughter named Melody who is adorable, sweet and smart as a whip and has a prepaid counseling account set up for her to help her deal with the upcoming teenage years when I turn into psycho over protective dad.
I am a no apologies offered geek--my passions include reading, comic books, video games, role playing games, Simpsons toys, the Maryland Rennaissance Fair, animation, movies, DVDs and both Star Wars and Star Trek. And I am very happy about it, thank you.
My parents are Albert and Susie. They are divorced and remarried--Mom to Otis and Dad to Deborah. I have a younger brother, Al and an even younger sister, Brandi. Al's married to Kim and Brandi to Brian. Brandi has a son Peter, who is my godson. My inlaws are Ronnie and Carol and I have a sister-in-law, Lori.
